Session 1: State of the Market and Linedata Update

Operational efficiency and AI have bubbled up to the top of the strategic agenda for our clients.

Linedata executives explored current events, market trends, and expectations for the rest of 2024 and beyond, and shared updates on key initiatives spanning our Asset Management, Global Services, and Lending and Leasing businesses.

Session 2: Working Smarter

It’s no longer looking at your one little line of business. You want to look at everything and understand how you can build automation once and use it many times.

Operational leaders are increasingly asked to do more with less. Our panel discussed how they and their teams are building efficient operations leveraging exception management tools, actionable data and insights, and interconnected ecosystems.

Session 3: How changing global regulations are impacting the buy-side

If you’re registered with the SEC, the private adviser rule will have a dramatic impact on your ability to operate.

The aggressive pace of global regulation is posing major challenges to senior decision-makers and their compliance teams. Industry experts shared how SEC requirements, AI, private funds, and the 'talent war' are impacting the buy-side community – and what you can do to prepare and respond.

Session 4: Linedata Labs

Let’s embrace the fact that our environments will always be adding new applications, turning our business models on their heads, adding new asset classes, entering new markets.

The complexity of building and maintaining "digital bridges" for data exchange and communication often hinders efficiency and growth. This session explored Generative AI (GenAI) as an agile integration architect that automatically generates code and API calls, builds seamless bridges between applications, and strengthens digital ecosystems.

Session 5: Managing operational complexities in Private Capital and Credit Markets

As we get more involved in private credit, merging data so we can look at it from a portfolio management standpoint and compare apples to apples is a big challenge.

The pursuit of value and uncorrelated returns is driving institutional and alternative demand across public and private credit markets and all facets of Private Capital. Our panel discussed the unique expertise these asset classes demand and the challenges they pose in order to achieve operational scalability and address regulatory and investor expectations.

Session 6: AI Workshop

Each one of you in this room now has the understanding, the experience, the insight, to take AI technology and actually do the useful thing that adds business value.

LDX attendees joined Linedata’s AI team for a dynamic workshop that explored ways to revolutionize buy-side operations with AI and Generative AI. The fast-paced session provided a small-group forum to debate the potential merits of AI applications, ask questions of AI experts, and design concrete persona-based AI use cases.

Session 7: Embedding GenAI for Buy-Side Client Operations

For the first time, AI is getting democratized. On the one hand, I’m excited; on the other hand, I’m concerned. GenAI is very powerful, but at the same time, it significantly increases risk.

18 months after ChatGPT’s breakthrough, GenAI is ubiquitous, and forward-thinking fund managers are capitalizing on its promise. Senior operations, technology, and legal experts discussed and debated the AI state of play in asset management, potential legal fallout, and recommendations for AI success.

Session 8: Nurturing Innovation

We look outward and say, what are the technologies out there? We listen inside to all our different teams and ask, what are your challenges? Then we try to mirror them together.

Asset managers have identified the importance of building an innovation culture and maintaining expertise, and the challenges this presents to team management and business growth. Our panel outlined strategies and tactics they, as senior leaders, are employing, how they're enabling risk-taking, and what is and isn't working.

Session 9: Customer Panel

I guarantee next year we’ll all be talking DataOps and not AI.

Customers from across Linedata's Asset Management, Global Services, and Lending and Leasing businesses discussed the challenges and triumphs of leading large organizations, and how they are preparing for the next wave of change.

Session 10: Closing Remarks

We want to make big changes in the industry. We’re going to continue investing in being part of the ecosystem and being in the driver’s seat of that ecosystem.
